You’ve had an amazing response from the people of Swansea on your return. How do you feel to be back?
It’s been brill. I left purely for football reasons, it’s not that I ever wanted to leave the city. I have always enjoyed myself in Swansea and was really excited to return.
Were you nervous?
No, I was excited. I missed the football, the people and the place, so as soon as I got my chance I wanted to come back.
Have you come back as a changed man?
As you get older you’ve got to look after yourself a bit more, what you do off the field effects what you do on it. I think you’ve got to take care of yourself if you want to stay in the game for as long as you can.
So does that mean that we can say goodbye to that party boy image?
If you’re a young single lad you’ve got to enjoy life, but there’s a right time and place to do it. We had many successful times at Swansea City, so obviously it was great to enjoy the moments and celebrate.
